GEM Studio: Metrology Control Suite
Just having the world’s best white light scanners isn’t enough. They have to be easy to use – which is where GEM Studio fits in. The software controls one or more scanners from a PC – typically a laptop; and it makes measurement easy. All the power of GEM is available to the advanced user – yet in “Simple” mode, it can be driven from a simple “Measure” button. Scanned components may be visualised as a point cloud or mesh, and edited before being exported or saved. Data from multiple scans can be combined – either from a single scanner, or from a Virtual Scanner Network. GEM Studio provides all the tools needed to perform installation, scanning and calibration. GEM Studio provides high-density data to analysis products like Polyworks, Geomagic or Spatial Analyser. By focusing purely on the measurement task, it provides a simple, clean interface to the measurement station. A licence for GEM Studio is included with all Quartz-E and Quartz-R scanners.
